I was showing a house yesterday in Bowie , the house was just rehab by an investor. Below is the first thing I saw once I drive up to the house. As you can see the mail box was taking over by overgrown weed, but of course this investor does not think replacing this mailbox is a good investment to get this house sold quickly. Once I entered the house, I quickly realized this is really not a house I want to show or advise my client to buy. There are so many minor things that is frankly a put off. Just a few things that I noticed – broken window, dirty hard wood floor, construction debris at the back of the house, painters tape in some areas of the house, and some other minor things that usually put off buyers. The investor did spend money to do the rehab ,but when little things are left undone it usually a sign of some patch up job.
Experienced investors understand houses need to be presented well to sell quickly for top dollars, the curb appeal can make or break deals.
